I see a lot of people dunking on this but not explaining the key issue. Here is my understanding:
I think the idea behind this policy is that corporations might hold real estate and not rent it out, effectively reducing supply

This is basically not true because if there’s one thing corporations are good at, it’s not leaving money on the table

On the other hand, corporations are often better placed to do the “work” of being a landlord (eg renovating, taking on risk, maintenance) which yes only justifies like 10% (or something) of rental income but needs to get done my somebody, lest you get

Under pretty generous assumptions including carbon offsets, Claude estimates keeping 1k sq ft it 8° F cooler on a hot day would cost about $5.50/day

Tbc preferences are legitimate and maybe you don’t wanna spend this money, all legitimate. But FYI
Assumptions:
- 95° high
- 1000 sq ft space
- running a small space heater on high 24/7
- keeping AC set to 62 instead of 70
- carbon offsets for all this

At least 1.9 million Americans drink water with fluoride levels that causally reduce IQ in children
This 1.9M figure is the number of people who live in areas with *natural* fluoride levels of at least 1.5mg/L https://ntp.niehs.nih.gov/sites/default/files/2024-08/fluoride_final_508.pdf
