There's algorithms that are faster than on a classical computer. GHC runs on classical computers. So any useful analogy must distinguish the two.
"Floating point error", "lazy evaluation", "caching" don't let you factor prime numbers fast.
(quoting @fchollet: In quantum mechanics, the observer effect boils down to the idea that the world state is lazily evaluated (i.e. you only compute something when the result is causally needed to evaluate something else). This makes the many-world interpretation very icky: MWI requires "compute"…)

Not an answer to the question but probably both relevant and contentious:
Consent doesn’t have a fundamental role in ethics above and beyond as a best-we-can-do proxy for other more fundamental considerations given real-world constraints…

Tim Duffy (@timfduffy): @AaronBergman18 @bobfisc Heck yeah! You use OpenAI TTS for this, right? I just tried using it for the first time the other day. Do you have to chunk the text, submit to the API, then stitch the audio together, or is there another way?
Yeah but the substantive/hard part is making a single text file that is *exactly* what you want the audio to say. Just extracting the text is generally ~unlistenable because of random line breaks, page numbers, diagrams with and without text, different citations, tables, etc...

Yeah that’s probably involved but (I just confirmed this for moclobemide) the mystery is why you reach steady state MAO-inhibition at ~3 days but the AD effect takes ~3 weeks
The same thing is true for SSRIs and I believe other ADs - what’s considered the primary mechanism
