Hot take SBF was very financially literate

In many cases the elites are elite because they have political power and/or their explicit and socially agreed upon job is to make good policies (in some sense)

Makes more practical and like moral sense to criticize this group

Eg it just so happens that my memory of going on vacation around Christmas comports with pictures in my camera roll, emails, and the reports of my family

For sure, not inherent at all, but there are good theoretical reasons to expect it to check out most of the time and we see it empirically with other classes of drugs (eg high dose amphetamines to prevent sleep and perceived exertion, arguably chemotherapy too)

Depends what u mean by “average”

Avg effect size is small for any given SSRI helping an arbitrary person, yes, but it could be the case that the avg effect size of those who have been taking one for at least say 3 months is “medium”

One of my (evidently) more radical opinions is that we don't need to demarcate and enforce formal/"professional" relationship boundaries as strongly as we do

It seems like we reify them more strongly than the actual object level power dynamics warrant

Fuck it, let’s do more dating discourse

I suspect straight women on dating apps generally have “lazy” prompts like this because they feel no pressure to put more effort in - after all, they already get a surplus of likes to choose from…

This way, information-sensitive gradients of bliss will be encoded in our hardware in a way that is very difficult to overstep, similar to how we're kind of stuck with a lot of legacy hardware and protocols, including internet protocols and the QWERTY keyboard. We've got to do the same for brain organoids. I don't see anybody doing this. There's a big possible ethical disaster approaching us, and there aren't many serious thinkers, ethicists, and doers here.
